Randa strives to be an active part of the conversations and solutions surrounding sustainability. This means conducting everyday operations in a way that is highly conscious of who we are affecting and where. Randa is committed to being a strong employer, business partner and global community member.
LEED Gold Certified
LEED, or Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design, is the most widely used green building rating system in the world. Available for virtually all building, community and home project types, LEED provides a framework to create healthy, highly efficient and cost-saving green buildings. LEED certification is a globally recognized symbol of sustainability achievement.
Corrugated Recycling Program
Since our corrugated recycling program started in 2008, Randa has recycled on average about 600 tons of cardboard boxes per year. This saved 86,400 trees- over three times the amount in Central Park!
As our sustainability initiative, Randa makes it a point to utilize as less energy as possible and become energy efficient. Our state of the art warehouses are LED light powered with motion sensors. In doing so, we were able to save 46% of energy as oppose to using florescent light.
We reduced our annual consumption by 566,300 gallons-
about the size of an Olympic swimming pool!
Used to power our fork lifts and clamp trucks, propane is the cleanest
burning fossil fuel. It is non- toxic and not harmful to soil or water
