Ben Sherman “The God of Mod” made his mark in clothing design in the 1960’s. The brand became famous for being sported by well-known musicians and singers. It was the first company to produce the famous Oxford-style button-down shirt, which became a fashion staple for “mods.” Ben Sherman designs sometimes feature the roundel (circular emblem on military aircraft) and colors of the British Royal Air Force. More recently, Ben Sherman has become known for unusual and complex designs, and the so-called Carnaby-style of fitted shirts.
